McFly Goes Green
The article's here. Aren't they sweet?
Mcfly are not just extremely talented musicians and nice guys, apart from that they're quite sympathetic young men. Being a celebrity can bring you so many profits. Not many use their status for good cause, but it is not about our lads. They helped to collect money to build shools in Uganda, took part in plenty of charity sport events, one quarter of their singled released to support different charity trusts. And now they've become green!
6th May McFly visited one of british shools in Northwood, to encourage its pupils participate in Seeds For Shool initiative.Together with the Forestry Commission, we sent more 30,000 schools enough seeds to grow a MILLION trees. They are now growing in pots to be planted out this autumn. We've chosen five of the schools to share £10,000 worth of educational equipment from the Tesco for Schools & Clubs scheme. And, courtesy of pop heroes McFly (right) another three schools each receive 35 tickets for one of three woodland gigs the band will play for the Forestry Commission. That is enough for a teacher to take an entire class-and each schools gets £500 to help with transport.
The Tesco equipment winners are: Cheynes Infant School, Luton, Beds; East Worlington Primary School, Devon; Kesgrove High School, Ipswich, Suffolk; Lumen Christi College, Londonderry; and Llangors Church in Wales School, Powys. McFly ticket winners are Neale Wade Community College, March, Cambs; The Oaks Secondary School, Spennymoor, Co. Durham; and Penygarn Community Primary, Pontypool, South Wales.
