Well, obviously I'm up early. I really really want to finish the last updates.
So anyways...here's chap 20.

CHAPTER 20: SO CLOSE WAS WAITING

I hurried back to where the cab had dropped us off. Thankfully, Alex was speechless and did not follow me and stop me.

I don't think there's a better reason to explain what I'm feeling or doing right now, but I really really have to get to Danny and tell him I love him and that it's always going to be him.

I was panting halfway through, but I continued to hurry.

Once in the cab, I pulled out my phone and dialled Tom's number.

"Pick up pick up pick up..." I muttered.
"Tom!!!"
"Woah! Yeah? What?!" Tom answered; startled.
"Where are you going to have a gig tonight and tomorrow?" I asked in between pants.
"Uhhhh...both in Tonbridge. Why?"
"I'll explain some other time. I have to go."
"Wait! Why are you panting?"
"Early morning jogging. Gotta stay in shape! Bye Tom!" I ended the call just as th cab stopped in front of the hotel.

I paid the man the cab fee and made my way back to our suite. Luckily, my sister was in and I had someone to talk my head through.

"Klara! Help me! I'm going crazy!" I sat on my bed and faced my sister.
"Okay. Why?" She leand on the table in front of me.
"I feel bad about hanging out with Alex and I want to go home and go to Danny. Like you said! I might've broken up with him, but he'll always take care of me. Suddenly, I think I want to return the favor!"
"That's good, actually. So what's wrong?"
"Wow. So you're not stopping me?" I asked wide-eyed.
"No. Who am I to stop you? And I've been waiting for you to do this." She said; honestly.
"Thank you, little sister."
"Go!" Klara laughed. "Where are you going anyway?" She pulled me to our dresser.
"Tonbridge. I called Tom. He said they're playing there for two days."
"That's good..."

Klara helped me pack up some clothes and called the airline to reschedule my trip later on that day.

She was awesome and a really great help. Of course, she will have to help me on one more thing, explaining to mum. She did promise that she will though.

With everything settled, Klara went with me to the airport. My flight was about an hour or so and she helped me kill the time.

Who ever said you needed a lot of time to fly halfway across the globe is wrong.

The flight attendant shook my arm softly to wake me up. I could see the cold, dark night of my beautiful country. Although it felt like I hadn't slept for three days, I was really excited.

After retrieving my one bag, I got on a taxi to a tube station where I would take a tube to Tonbridge. I'm almost there.

After the tube, I took another taxi to the biggest arena of Tonbridge. It was where the lads would play. I got off the cab and went around to the back of the venue.

"Tom. Come and get me please. I'm over at the back." I said into my phone.
"What? Are you kidding me? You're over at Australia."
"Am not. Just got back. Please come and get me. I'm knackered. Don't tell anyone though!"

Tom got out the back and let me in. He was absolutely surprised and was happy. He led me back to the dressing room where the lads prepared for the night.

"Danny!" I called as a man medium height and curly haired stood in front of me.

CHAPTER 21: BELIEVING THIS WAS NOT PRETEND

I sat at on the small rug I laid near my father's gravestone. It was a nice sunny day and it was today that I decided to visit him.

"I came back for him and, like he promised, he was waiting for me.

Although no explanations were needed, I explained everything to Danny. I explained why I was so lost, how I met Alex, why I hung out with Alex, how Alex halped me realize that he was th right one for me.

I'll never forget the look on his face that moment he saw me. It was a mixture of surprise, shock and affection.

It's been four years since that night. We've been married for three years now.

Speaking of marriage! I wish you could've been there at my wedding, daddy. It would have been much more special if you could've been there for the ceremonial handing over of the bride."

"Mommy!!!" A brown haired toddler ran into my arms.

She was followed by that medium height, curly haired man. I kissed the little girl and smiled up to the man who stood over us.

"Sorry. She wouldn't believe me when I told her you were talking to your own daddy." Danny apologized with a sweet smile.
"Silly man!" I said playfully with a laugh. "Now, honey? Mommy wants you to go and play with daddy for a few more minutes while I finish up here, okay?" I talked to the little girl. She nodded, her chubby head bobbing slowly. I smiled to myself as she took her father's hand and walked away happily.

"So there they are now, dad. My family. Danny and Emily. I couldn't be more thankful.

I also wish you could've seen your first grandchild. She's an angel. She's two and half at the moment.

As you just heard, she's getting a bit restless so I better take her away from here before she starts crying and disturbing everyone's eternal sleep."

I stood up and straightened the creases on my clothes.

"I love you dad. Always have and always will. You'll be living in here." I patted my chest.

I looked at the gravestone one more time and finally turned and walked over to where my husband and daughter were playing.

I swear, like the shadow that's by your side, I'll be there.
For better or worse, 'till death do us part.
I'll love you with every beat of my heart.
I swear.
