What Book Are You Reading Right Now?

I think this thread is appropriate for this certain category! Basically you reply with the current book you read, the last book you read, etc. It's pretty straight forward. AND, it gives members a chance to possibly want to read it, too? Sort of also a recommendation thing.

I shall start:


One Hundred Years of Solitude - Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I'm not exactly reading it, just reviewing it, since I've read this like two months ago. It's kind of a long read, 500+ pages, and it takes a few minutes (at least for me) a page.

Talk Talk - T.C. Boyle. Ever since I read The Tortilla Curtain for another English class, this author had me intrigued. This is a book I bought recently & I'm excited to read it.

Im reading Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger for our English Class next year. Though it was the most censored book during early 60's until 80's, idk why they required this book for us.

and Stainless Longganisa by Bob Ong. Why? Wala lang. )

im not reading anything now. but i just read the chronicles of narnia.
it's a really nice book. and it kinda describes how life is here on earth except you have to really understand it to figure it out. but it's really good. REAALLY GOOD! when i finished the book..i had to stop and think about it all again. parang i want to read it again eh..just in time for prince caspian. but seriously..i like books that when you read them..you feel like you're with the people. books that bring you to different places. narnia's like that..

and the movie..i like the movie a lot. because it's everything you imagine (and more) when you read the book. the directors really got the feel of the book and put it on screen. and they didnt skip any parts that are essential to the story. i just hope that prince caspian is the same as the first movie.

haha. =)) that was long. but if anyone has read it and wants to talk about it..im here. it's one of my favorite (if not, favorite) books ever.

im reading the agony and the ecstacy by irving stone right now, its really cool its about michaelangelo's life

i just love the classics

the last book i read fully was HAmlet for english class heeehee! i loved it! i love shakespeare!

no comebacks by frederick forsythe (another good one too )
...and! the killing game by iris johanssen. i love her books! she writes suspense and romance novels but i only read the suspence ones
her books are great, pageturners! like seriously, you can't put 'em down

Veronika Decides To Die - Paulo Coelho, I'm hoping this book would make me more optimistic and thankful for ...well, life.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I've read the first 4 books in about a week or two.
Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte, classics are awesome

I sort of stopped reading the other two, though. Or more like all the three. Haven't had much time to read.

i'm currently reading Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. it's actually a very old book; published in 1877. just a fun fact for ya'll. well, it's about horses. hehe. i was actually required to read this book and now i don't need it anymore but might as well finish it, right?

it's actually good. i learned more about horses and i feel super sad for them when they're not treated the right way.

i was at the power books in shangrila and i don't know what book to choose.
cause I think I'm over reading 'teen' books. i don't know why.

At first, I got confused with the characters (even if I was only in chapter 6. lol ), so I read the book again from chapter 1 and I took down names of the characters.

I'm still halfway through Les Miserables and after that Paolo coelho's By the River Piedra I sat down and wept.

Really? I've only read twilight. But then I got too lazy and didn't read the other books anymore. That, plus the fact that a lot of people say that the following books stinked. Oh, and I'm mad cause people keep comparing twilight with the Harry Potter series. But can't they see it? It's faaaaaaaar from it. :\

It's pretty awesome.
I've also just finished 'A Walk to Remember' and 'The Wish". Those were really good books.
